Pre-registration
The deadline for presenters’ registration is on 26 July 2019. Confirm your participation by registering online through the Presenter Confirmation Page. We will cancel the presentations and give away the slots of presenters who cannot provide us this guarantee before the given deadline. You may also e-mail a copy of your registration details and the deposit slip to symposium@biodiversity.ph (with subject heading: Presenter Registration) as proof of your payment of the symposium registration fee. Please write down who the payment was made for.
For international participants, you may pay your registration fee on site but we are requesting you to kindly confirm your participation by sending us an e-mail.
Instructions for Oral Presentations
All presenting authors should submit their presentations in PowerPoint or PDF format to the Secretariat before 5:00 PM of the day before their assigned schedule to present at the latest (example: if you are presenting on 14 August, your presentation should be with the Secretariat before 5:00 PM of 13 August). This is to avoid technical problems and delay in the program. Please also inform the Secretariat beforehand if there is a change in presenting author. We will send you your assigned presentation schedules in the next few days.
You are allotted thirteen (13) minutes for your presentation. Please keep this in mind when preparing your slides and presentation. A 13 minute talk should theoretically include only 15-20 slides. Please also refer to the BCSP Presentation Guidelines in the Downloads Section.
Instructions for Poster Presentations
Scientific Poster Format and Layout
- Poster boards will be provided. Presenters will be responsible for their own materials e.g. double-sided tapes; thumb tacks).
- Poster size should not exceed A1 (841 mm x 594 mm / 23.4 in x 33.1 in) and should be vertically oriented (portrait orientation not landscape).
- Posters may be set up starting 12 August 2019 until 9:00 AM of 13 August 2019 only.
- The poster entry will be assigned a number upon registration.
Pecha Kucha and Scientific Poster Viewing Session, 17 October 2018. 1:30 PM onwards.
- Poster presenters will be asked to deliver a 1-minute spiel about their poster during the pecha kucha session. Submit a jpeg file of your poster to the Secretariat during registration.
- All scientific posters will be displayed at the grounds of the symposium venue. The poster session will be held on the afternoon of 13 August 2019. During the poster viewing, you should remain with your poster during the session to answer any questions. Posters will be retained until marks are finalized.
